attended West Point for one year before transferring to the University of Kentucky. Entered Transportation Corps of Army during WWII and served in Europe. He was killed as a result of an automobile accident with resulting blood clot and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He died in the Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox.
