Our Walk with The Lord
My Walk with The Lord
by Brother Gary
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I would like to make a personal statement, in my own opinion, concerning love offerrings and this ministry. As I strive diligently to serve the Lord Our God, I am in need of nothing. I choose to live one day at a time, and go where ever the Lord leads me to go. I choose to do what ever the Lord leads me to do. I simply enjoy serving him and learning all there is to learn, concerning his will for me in my life. God is my provider and I will trust in him to provide ALL my needs each and every day.
Jesus tells me in Matthew chapter 11:
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
I can not stress to you enough, how important this is to understand. It really is not that difficult to serve God. I feel blessed each and every day when I walk according to his will for me. I want you to understand what I mean when I say "God is my provider and I will trust in him to provide ALL my needs each and every day." It does NOT mean that I do not work, it simply means that I trust in God to open up doors for me. I am not desiring fame & fortune in this life. I am totally happy in doing whatever I can do to serve. The more I serve, the more God is blessing me each and every day. Am I speaking of financial blessings? Absolutely not. If financial blessings were my goal, then I doubt very much if I would truly be serving God.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4:28
Wow! I like That.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke 12:22-40
The reason I have created this particular web page, is my way of explaining my own personal walk with the Lord. I simply do whatever I feel the Lord leads me to do and I thoroughly enjoy it. The other reason I have created it, is to simply explain exactly how this ministry is financed. The website itself is financed solely by myself by whatever means the Lord is providing for me. The time I personally spend working on the webpages is simply my way of showing my love to the Lord, and also my way of showing my love to anyone who happens to take the time to read our web pages. We create these web pages to help lead others to Jesus Christ, and to help encourage our brothers & sisters in Christ to have a closer walk with the Lord. I have nothing better to do in my life than to serve the Lord and to help encourage others to do the same. #1 it's what God wants me to do. #2 it makes ME feel good. #3 God opens up doors for me that totally blows me away. #4 I FEEL the presence of the Lord and I am comforted. The more I serve the Lord, the more I feel blessed and there is NOTHING as awesome as when you can sit back and simply recognize God's blessings in your life and truly know that you are doing God's will.
I would absolutely love to spend more time at home, sitting at my computer and keeping our PalTalk chat room open on a regular basis, simply to encourage others to Praise & Worship the Lord, and to encourage others to treat one another as Jesus has commanded us to do.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
But for the time being, I also love going out and driving my taxi cab. Sometimes I may sit in a taxi stand just listening to God's Word on my CD player. I find I can concentrate much easier and I have less distractions than when I'm at home. Ironically when I spend a lot of time "listening" to God's Word, more often than not, The Lord leads someone to my taxi who ends up going a greater distance than the ones I used to get when I was spending all my time listening to Music on my CD player. I feel very blessed by the Lord. I also get people in my taxi who I KNOW, without a doubt, the Lord wants me to plant a seed into. One particular way I enjoy planting seeds, is passing out FREE Praise & Worship CDs to everyone who gets into my taxi. Not only does this give them something to listen to later and possibly lead them to Jesus, it also opens up a door to talk about this Ministry for the Lord. The lable has our website URL on it and I always encourage them to check out our website. Often times I am always playing upbeat Christian music, including Broken Walls and Charlie Daniels. I encourage them to check out our website and download ZPoC if they enjoy the music I am playing. I think it is really cool, half the time they don't even realize they are listening to Christian music until they happen to ask me "What is this music we are listening to? it's really good" I just smile and say "you like that? here's a CD you can have. If you go to our website you can download ZPoC and download any of this music from the files on my computer." I have all the information for them, right there on the CD lable. I can not think of a better way to spend my time and the money the Lord provides for me, than using it to lead others to Christ. I also pass out free CDs with children's Christian music on them, (a set of 2 CDs, 84 songs in all) to those whom I find out have small children at home. I pray these CDs will influence the children and plant a seed into their little hearts as they listen to all the songs as they grow up.
I have passed out hundreds of free CDs and I will continue to do so as long as I am financially able. I must admit, it does get rather expensive on me, but I don't mind one bit since The Lord is my provider anyways. As I said earlier, the Lord is always opening up doors for me. I Praise God and Thank him for supplying all my needs in life. Another door he has opened recently for me, is an opportunity to open an Online Gift Shop with nearly 4,000 quality items. Not only will this help ME, but I have also passed this opportunity on to others as well, so they can earn some extra income selling gift items to their friends and neighbors. I am also working on some ways to help other brothers & sisters in Christ as well. If you are in the market for any type of gifts for a friend or relative, please visit my online gift shop and request a free catalog. As soon as I can afford to buy more catalogs, I will be happy to send you one for free, ASAP. Eventually I plan to make ALL the items available for purchasing online, but that will require a lot of extra time which I simply do not have at the moment.
In the meantime.... Some of you may be in a little better position financially, than myself. Maybe you would like to help support this ministry, simply to give me more free time to serve the Lord in other needed areas of my life, or to simply help take some of the financial burdens off of my own personal expenses. Either way, I believe and know that my needs will be met regardless. It has been my own personal visionĀ to make this a Full Time Ministry for the Lord in every way I can. I am simply proud to be a small part of doing whatever I can do to help. If you are able to help in any way at all, Praise God!
