Helen B. Lange, 92, of Elyria, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Wesleyan Village in Elyria after a long illness. Born in Silverton, Ohio, she had lived in Toledo for many years. Mrs. Lange was a graduate of Cincinnati Applied Arts College, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She had worked as a greeting card designer for Gibson Art Co., and was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years. She was a member of Park Congregational United Church of Christ and served as a Sunday school teacher for 20 years. She was past president of Profit and Pleasure Club of Waterville, Ohio, and a volunteer art teacher at Toledo Mental Health Center for 10 years. Survivors include daughters Sally Kneisel of Oberlin and Nancy Vrooman of Hillsborough, N.C.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Arthur Lange; and her parents, Aril and Alice Burr. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati.
