His father, Jonathan was from Hanover County, Virginia. The 1781-1849index
to Fluvanna County lists his children. They moved to Fluvanna in theyear 1795
and purchased land from Allan Barnard near Cunningham Church close to
Palmyra, Fluvanna County.
Burwell was a farmer, he moved to Oldham County, Kentucky. He and hiswife
Christiana are buried in the Collier cemetery at Westport Landing,Oldham
County, Kentucky. Children: Elizabeth and Felix are also buried there.
Burwell and Christiana were married at the Lyles Baptist Church inWilmington,
Virginia. Eliza Ann married John Maddox in the same church and marriedby
the Minister, Robert Lilly.
