!His wife Rebecca drew a pension for his service in the War of 1812.
!In the census of 1850, she states that she is 82 years old and was born in
Virginia. By the 1860 Census, however, she was only 86. Either way, she was a remarkable woman.
She had six children by her first
husband, William Marshall, and another six by her second husband, William Bond.
She was at least 42 at the time of her second marriage. Several of these
children, including our ancestor, were born to her after the age of 50.
!A quilt her sister made her (which sister is unknown) was donated by the family
to the Kentucky Historical Society in 1988.
!Her marriage to William Bond was performed by the Rev. John Penny.
